11 modules

One app. Many parts of life.

LifeRoster is not a bundle of unrelated tools. Every module lives in the same workspace and keeps its records the way that part of life actually works. They all search the same way, protect your history the same way, and take photos and scans on any record — so learning one means you already know the rest.

Everything below is built and in use today. Anything still being worked on is on the roadmap instead, never here.

Across every module

Capture, scan and attach — in every module

Every record in LifeRoster can carry pictures, and they all go through one capture flow. Whether you are attaching a receipt to an expense, a lab report to a health record or a page to a document, the sources, the editor and the quality are identical.

Scan a document

Opens a real scanner: point at the page, the corners are detected automatically, the perspective is corrected and the result is cleaned up. Keep shooting to add more pages. Scans are captured at a higher resolution than ordinary photos, so fine print stays readable.

Take a photo

Straight to the camera for the things that are not documents — a meter face, a damaged part, a shelf where the medicine lives.

Choose from your library

Attach a picture you already have, which is usually how a photographed bill or a forwarded report gets in.

An editor that knows what it is holding

Every attachment opens in a full-screen editor with crop, rotate, enhance and highlight. It opens in the mode that suits the image: a scan opens on enhancement and is re-saved at scan quality, while a photo opens on cropping. Each picture can also be replaced, re-scanned or deleted — deletion asks first, because it is permanent.

  • Up to five pictures on an ordinary record, and up to 30 pages on a document.
  • Pictures are compressed as they are attached, so a phone full of receipts still leaves room for everything else.
  • Pictures are backed up separately from the records they belong to, so a slow upload never holds anything else up.
  • Scanning uses the phone's own scanner and is an Android and iOS feature; in a browser, photo and library attachments still work.
One interaction model

Learn one module and you know them all

These are things the whole app does, not features one module happens to have. Every module searches, filters, files, exports and protects your history the same way.

  • The same search and filters

Every listing screen has the same search field, the same filter sheet and the same removable filter chips — and every total on the screen describes the filtered list, not the whole module.

  • Your own folders

Bills, notes, vehicles, meters, health records and each of the Ledger's three surfaces can be filed into folders you create, with your own names and icons. Documents keeps its own long-standing vault tree.

  • PDF export where it earns its place

Expenses, bills, vehicles, meters, health, the ledger, documents and reports each export a formatted PDF to the share sheet, with the choices that suit them — a date range, which meters, which logs. Notes and the reminders hub have none, because a note is already the thing you would have printed.

  • Pictures on every record

One capture flow — scan, camera or library — on every create and edit form in the app.

  • Nothing is deleted quietly

A record that has history beneath it refuses deletion and explains why, destructive actions always confirm first, and a delete on one device can be recovered from another.

  • A screen always tells you where it is

While a screen is still loading it says so, and it tells you it is empty only once it genuinely has nothing — never a flash of 'no data' a moment before your data appears.

  • Every screen stays current

Save a record and every list, total and chart that depends on it has already moved — the screen you are on and the ones behind it. Nothing needs pulling to refresh, and a change arriving from your other device lands the same way.

Start with whatever is least organized.
