LifeRoster includes 11 areas: Expenses, Bills, Vehicle, Electricity, Health Journal, Documents, Notes, Ledger & Split, Reports, Assistant and Reminders. Every one has its own dedicated page describing what it does, how a typical workflow runs, and how its data is handled.

Not yet. Scanning itself is fully built — automatic page-edge detection, perspective correction, enhancement and multi-page capture — so pages come out square and sharp. Reading the text off them, which would make document contents searchable and fill in numbers and expiry dates for you, is designed but not built. It is on the roadmap and is not offered as a current capability.

Yes — to every record in every module, through one shared capture flow. Each create and edit form offers the same three sources: scan a document, take a photo, or choose from your library. Scanning detects the page edges, corrects the perspective and cleans the result, and captures at a higher resolution than an ordinary photo so fine print stays readable. Anything you attach can be cropped, rotated, enhanced, highlighted, replaced or deleted afterwards. An ordinary record holds up to five pictures and a document holds up to 30 pages.

Yes. Reports is a built module with three separate reports: spending (where the money went), commitments (what is already locked in) and usage (electricity units and distance driven). Each buckets by calendar month over one, three, six or twelve months, and each exports as a PDF. They are kept separate on purpose — an unpaid bill is a commitment rather than a cost, and adding the two together would count every bill twice.

They are three surfaces in one module because they hold three different records. People is a running ledger with one person — everything that has passed between you, with the balance worked out from that history. Splits is a single bill divided between several people, equally, by exact amounts or by percentage. Groups is a standing set of people whose many bills net down to one figure each, so a trip is settled with one payment per person rather than bill by bill. Your own share of any split is recorded as an ordinary expense; the rest of the bill is not, because paying for other people is lending rather than spending.

The Health Journal is organized per person, so each member of a household has their own records rather than sharing one log. Each person can have blood pressure, blood sugar and weight entries, medicines with dosage and storage location, doctor visits, documents and reminders. A reports screen charts the readings, summarises what they show, and exports a PDF you can hand to a doctor.

You record each expense with an amount, a category, a date and an optional receipt photo. Month views, category breakdowns and totals are all derived from those rows, and every total describes the currently filtered list. Marking a recurring bill as paid writes a real expense row, so paid bills count in spending automatically. LifeRoster does not connect to your bank — every entry is one you add.

Yes. Each vehicle carries odometer readings, fuel logs with cost and volume, maintenance records with costs, documents with expiry tracking, and renewal reminders. A per-vehicle screen charts what you have logged, and every figure on it is worked out from those entries — so the summary and the history can never disagree.

Yes. The vault organizes documents in a folder tree, holds up to 30 pages per document, and includes a full page manager for reordering pages and moving them between documents to merge or split. Documents carry a type, number, expiry date and renewal status, so expiring papers surface before they lapse, and any document can be exported as a PDF.

You type or say an entry in your own words. The most common ones — blood pressure readings, meter readings, ledger entries and expenses — are understood on your device with no connection at all. If it is unsure which person or which meter you meant, it asks with a tap rather than guessing. It never saves anything by itself: it fills in the module's normal form and hands it to you to check.
